Lips are delicate skin, similar to the skin on the rest of your body. But lip skin does not produce natural oils to protect itself. Lips therefore become cracked or chapped if you don't take proper care of them. Sore, dry, cracked and chapped lips are common in the winter due to dry air or cold weather conditions.
- Apply petroleum jelly or vaseline or lip balm on the lips to soothe and heal irritated lips. Apply aloe vera or vitamin E ointment or rub a cucumber slice on your lips.
