I am quite impressed after going through your website. It has given me a real opportunity to change my lifestyle.

Well my question is that I work out daily in the gym and I want to gain mass. For that our trainer say that you need to take supplements but I would rather like to go for some other alternative which I hope you would suggest me. iIeat eggs four days a week but other than that please give me advise on some food stuff that can increase my mass.

The key to gain muscle mass is encouraging new muscle growth and minimising muscle breakdown.

1. This is achieved by introducing good amount of protein in your diet. Whey protein is an excellent source of protein. This protein is derived from milk and is a complete protein.

2. Eat 5-6 meals a day.

3. Eat foods rich in calories and fat. (this may increase your overall weight).

4. Drink 8 glasses of water. You require to eat more on the days you do exercise.

How much protein should I take in a day if I want to increase my muscle mass.

Protein is the key for the muscle mass. You should daily eat about 2.2 g of protein per kilogram (1 g per pound) of your weight. For example, if you are 55 kg (121 pound), then you should eat 55x2.2=121 g of protein spread over 5-6 meals in the day. Include foods high in protein in your diet. It is better to eat protein from foods rather than from supplements.
