A person is considered obese when his weight is 20% more than the normal or ideal weight. The body mass index or BMI is a common measure of obesity. People become obesity when they eat much and exercise less so the calories they consume are stored as body fat. Other factors that are resposible for obesity are person's genetics, age, gender, medicines, psychological, lack of physical activity, etc.
Ideal body weight is given for people of different body frames and height. Look for your ideal weight according to your height.
